History

Our history started in the 50's with Arlux, a French based company. Arlux was originally a small, family owned company making and installing signs for its regional market. During the 70's, Arlux acquired major national contracts in the Automobile, Retail and Banking sectors.

During the 80's, Arlux proved to be one of the French leaders in the sign industry resulting in its selection to carry out major programmes such as Total and Citroen. In 1989, Arlux contracted its first Pan-European contract for Rover Group, and this success opened the door to all major automobile markets. Peugeot in 1992 and Ford in 1995 both appointed Arlux as a sole international supplier. Arlux created fully owned subsidiaries in all major Western Europe countries to develop sales and project management resources close to the end users.

In 2000, the Visotec brand was created. Its aim was to amalgamate all the subsidiaries. Arlux also developed a close relationship with the leading Polish sign manufacturer, 'Socha'. This began with a 20% stake but in 2006, Visotec acquired 100% of Socha.

Now both Visotec-Arlux and Visotec-Socha are the manufacturing foundations of the group in Europe, one serving Western Europe, the other one serving Germany and Eastern Europe.

Visotec-Strategy, the holding company of the Group is now responsible for the group strategy, including Marketing, Sales & R&D.
